My sweet partner. Aaron Tinling is the love of my life. And a stellar user interface designer, I might add. He can program in Flash now, too, for whatever that means. Geeks are hot!

My handsome dad. John C. Flanagan, LCSW is a therapist who specializes in helping survivors of childhood trauma. His is the best trauma therapist of Portland, OR and beyond. Also, he is largely responsible for making me as annoying… er, insightful as I am. Thanks, Dad!

My sister-in-law. I love my sister-in-law. I am linking to her blog which I think is anonymous so I wont say her name. But she knows who she is and she now knows that I love her. She is a great mom and a great balancing agent for my brother who is almost as off the wall as I am. Not quite though. I WIN!

Speaking of my brother, he finally wants to follow in my footsteps after years of me falling in his. Let it be known that I, younger sister, was the one who wanted the TRS-80 in the first place. And yet my older brother got all the attention around the family computer. This may be part of what fuels my intense curiousity around (and covert hostility toward) geeks. I say I love geeks, I deny that I am one. The real truth is that I have a love/hate relationship with the geek inside me. You would too if your inner geek was squashed at an early age. Wait, I think back then all geeks felt squashed. Maybe gender bigotry saved me from a bigger pain? Hmmm. Well, thank you my big geek brother!

More to come…

Right on…………. I could hardly get any time on the TRS-80. No wonder I had a hard time programming in BASIC when I was in graduate school. Long live WINDOWS! Love, MOM

Besides, you got pissed at what “Eliza” the virtual psychotherapist would say.:)

Say, you need a website so I can link to you, too. I am all about the nepotism!

I should come back here more often. I think I will.
